Appliance Delivery Drivers & Installer/Helpers

 

This position is responsible for the delivery, installation, and haul away of appliances and various home tech products. You will determine the best way to install major appliances, including measuring and protecting areas in the installation route, deciding if any doors in home need to be detached, and moving fixtures to protect the client's home and purchased products.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Drives a positive customer experience by building relationships and providing solutions to their needs.
• Moves products safely into the home, unboxes, sets them up. Ensures products are functioning properly.
• Completes all paperwork and obtains client signature electronically for proof of delivery.
• Manages inventory and vehicle maintenance according to established vehicle standards and processes.
• Leads or assists on two person jobs as well as performs work alone.
• Drivers provide training to new drivers.
• Delivery and basic installation of home appliances (fridge, hood vent, washer/dryer, exercise equipment, thermostats, doorbells, ovens, over the range microwaves, LP conversions, & flood lights)

 

- Drivers must be able to operate a 26 ft box truck and install appliances.

 

-Helpers must assist Driver with installation, preparation & Maintenance of the back of the truck

 

-4 days a week (full-time) 2 days a week (part-time)

 

-Hours varies depending on performance

 

-Day starts on the dock at 6:00 am and finishes when all stops are complete.

 

-Complete a full route daily, which consists of loading, unloading, delivering & basic installation.

 

-Must execute each delivery in a safe and efficient manner to prevent any claims due to damages.

 

-Must be reliable and have a good attendance history

 

-No major felonies in the past 10 years. (NO THEFT OR SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES)

 

Basic Qualifications

 

• 1 year of customer service experience
• 6 months of experience in one or more of the following: delivery, installation, repair, or military equivalent
• Current, valid driver's license
• Have and maintain a driving record which meets our safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)
• Ability to consistently lift up to 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team with the use of support tools such as a harness, dolly, and lift
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements including DOT physical & substance screening

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Experience in an in-home installation environment
• Experience actively using and learning about technology products
